Two giant players in the Chinese cultural and publishing industries, China Culture Industrial Investment Fund and China Science Publishing & Media Group Ltd., have recently purchased out 33.5% of total shares of Wanfang Data Co., Ltd.. Thus, China Culture Industrial Investment Fund becomes the second largest shareholder of Wanfang Data, and China Science Publishing & Media Group Ltd. becomes the third largest shareholder. Wanfang Data Co., Ltd. was established in 2000 based on Wanfang Data Corporation, a subsidiary of the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China (ISTIC).
